Huayra

Pagani Automobili presented the successor of the Zonda at the Geneva Automotorshow 2011, the Pagani Huayra. Born as a technological wonder child with active aerodynamics and a totally different appearance to expand the demand, the Huayra shocked the press at the first renderings with a huge shark mouth.
But after the first expositions and the real appearance it is totally clear that the design is once again more than astonishing.
The concept was born at the beginning of 2003 while the Roadster S was introduced. Since the first Zonda is older than 10 years it was time to change the design more than between all the variants of the Zonda. A special function for the Huayra has the element air in all it forms to generate downforce with active spoilers, cooling the brakes and giving enough air to the engine.
The main aspect for Horacio Pagani was to combine art and engineering in a perfect symbiosis as Leonardo da Vinci told us.
The Huayra is made of 4000 different components developed with passion, patience and creativity through the young team around Pagani. The basic silhouette is soft and clear with some small similarities to the Zonda.
The engine is provided as before by Mercedes-AMG V12 and produces with the help of two turbochargers 700 hp and 1100 nm of torque. But the engine is not only powerful it also fulfills the strict european and american emission laws.
Till now there are no official performance figures and petrol consumption known, but be prepared because they should be extremely good.
