Zonda F
The Zonda F was presented in Geneva 2005 and is a revised version of the Zonda S.It shares only 20% of the parts with the Zonda S7.3. The F is a homage to Fangio who had won the F1 championship five times and died before the launch of the Zonda C12. The bodyshape was redesigned in the wind tunnel to perform the aerodynamic and a better topspeed. Larger front air intakes with a new front bonnet, boot windows known from the Zonda Roadster, a new designed rear with a one-piece spoiler held on two metal rods and NACA on all wheelhouses were the main bodywork changes.
Besides a redesigned interieur with a new instrumentation and a Nardi steering-wheel were also a new gearbox and a hydroformed exhaust obstructed. The engine-power increased from 555bhp to 602bhp with the help of larger intake apertures and other modifications.
The mirrors were mounted above the front wheelhouse instead at the roof reaching a better visibility.
Better performance figures combined with a more aggressive body shape and a slender appearence incresed the demand heavily. It was produced in more then 25 units and was the most popular version of the Zonda. Most of the one-off versions and also the Zonda Cinque are based on the Zonda F monocoque and bodywork.
Favourite chosen colours were silver, white, red and the optional carbonfiber-body. A bigger option list with more individualization possibilities satisfied more owners.
